Our ‘Made in Germany’ power tools are produced entirely at our headquarters in Nürtingen. The unique thing about the site is that it not only houses our development department, but is also where we manufacture turned parts and motors, inject plastic parts and cast aluminum parts – for many different machines.     Every power tool is made up of many different parts. From aluminum to plastic pieces, metal and plastic housings, or gears and motors: we handle all of the process steps and technologies needed for all of these parts in Nürtingen. For our ‘Made in Germany’ power tools we use a highly automated fleet of machines to ensure we can do it all in house, as economically and competitively as possible.

    The motor is the heart of every power tool. It is the primary factor that determines the machine's performance, reliability, and long service life. And because it has such a great influence on product quality, we manufacture our famous Metabo LongLife motors entirely in-house. From the stator to the rotor to the shaft: everything is Made in Nürtingen.

    Precise and flexible installation

    The last step in creating a finished power tool is assembly. Countless variants of different machine types demand precision, and the ability to switch quickly and flexibly between different variations. Thanks to inline programming, we are able to upload current software to the electrical unit of the individual machine directly in assembly, then test it immediately afterwards. We document the test results automatically in the Tool Cloud – giving us a digital profile for each power tool. This approach makes us highly flexible.

    Out of sight, but never out of mind

    We know that our machines need to work reliably and flawlessly for our users in trade and industry. And that is what they do ... over 99.9 percent of the time. However, if a fault does occur, we will address it as quickly as possible. That is why we have optimized our service department so that over 95 percent of the machines sent to our company are repaired and sent out again within 24 hours. We also have different service packages available, flat-rate payment options, specialized repair boxes, and our Metabo app.
