Data processing for special applications

XXL warranty
The processing (e.g. collection, transfer and usage) of the personal data serves solely for the justification and execution of the XXL warranty or for possible recall actions. The data is stored on the server of a service provider in Germany who is obliged to adhere to the Data Protection Acts. For this purposes, a data transfer to the server of the responsible Metabo sales subsidiary/importer may be effected.

If a dealer registers products on behalf of the buyer, this data is also exchanged between the Metabo's server and the dealer. The dealers, importers and sales subsidiaries are obliged to process personal data in accordance with the law so that the respective data protection standards of Germany/ the target country are met.

The buyer can object to the processing of his data at any time online in the user account of the XXL warranty, by email to xxlsupport@metabo.de or by sending a letter to the responsible department Metabowerke GmbH, D-72622 Nuertingen.

The buyer's data are also deleted, if

  • in his name only machines are registered that are older than 3 years and
  • which we assume are no longer being used
  • the buyer did not agree to participate in advertising campaigns and opinion research.

If a dealer registers a customer on his behalf, the customer and machine data is deleted as soon as the data of the dealer is deleted.

Newsletter
Through our website you can register for the Metabo newsletter. Even when you register for the Metabo newsletter when registering for the XXL warranty, it is voluntarily and not required for the warranty extension.

Metabo and the subsidiary responsible for your country or the importer use the data released by you to inform you about interesting offers and new products by Metabo and for market and opinion research. Your data will not be transferred to third parties for any other purpose. You can always object to the transfer of your data, correct it or terminate future reception of newsletter through the deregistration link in the newsletter. Alternatively, you can object to the processing of your data online in the user account of the XXL warranty, by email to websupport@metabo.de or by writing a letter to the responsible office Metabowerke GmbH, D-72622 Nuertingen. Metabo reserves the right to delete your consent without notification if you can no longer be reached at the address data stored. This does not influence the registration of the machine.

Competitions
When organising lotteries, we use - if you wish - only personal data required for the purposes of the lottery, for example for sending out prizes. Your personal data will be deleted, as soon as they are no longer needed for the purposes of the lottery, if you do not agree to any other use and if there are no legal requirements with regard to storage of data.
